Dr. Wadelton is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in eating disorders. She has over 20 years of experience treating infants, children, adolescents, and adults with eating problems. Dr. Wadelton was trained at the Kennedy-Krieger Institute, Behavioral Pediatrics Division, Johns Hopkins Univ. School of Medicine (www.Kennedykrieger.org). She is a recognized expert in feeding disorders of infancy and childhood. Dr. Wadelton has expertise in behavioral therapy (ABA), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and family therapy (including Maudsley Method) for eating disorders and related feeding problems.
The psychological treatment of DSM-V feeding disorders is covered by insurance companies. Dr. Wadelteon can provide intensive outpatient feeding therapy, saving families the expense and stress of inpatient hospitalization. Since the treatment is highly specialized, most insurance companies will work with families to enable them to see Dr. Wadelton for treatment of complex feeding disorder.
